Overview
You will travel from Luxor to Aswan for a two-day exploration of some of southern Egypt’s most famous sites. In Aswan you will visit Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam. At each stop you will see notable examples of ancient and modern engineering: the temple complex, the partly carved obelisk still in its quarry, and the scale of the dam that reshaped the Nile’s flow. You will stay overnight in Aswan and, in the morning, head to Abu Simbel to visit its monumental temples before returning to Luxor. Along the way you'll have the chance to explore the sites up close and to learn about the pharaonic monuments and more recent developments that have defined this stretch of the Nile. The experience focuses on seeing these key landmarks and appreciating their historical and cultural significance.
