2 Days Luxor Tours: East & West Bank, Dendera and Abydos

Overview

Over two days, with a private guide, you will see the famous sites in and around Luxor. The experience combines the city’s great temple complexes with the ancient burial landscape on the west bank, then extends to the temple of Dendera outside Luxor. You will visit Karnak and Luxor temples, where towering columns, monumental pylons and carved reliefs tell the story of Egypt’s pharaonic religion and kingship. On the west bank you will explore the Valley of the Kings, home to the rock-cut royal tombs, and the nearby mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, with its terraced architecture and funerary reliefs. The two-day programme finishes with a trip to Dendera, where you will see another well-preserved temple complex and its decorative reliefs. Along the way, your private guide will provide context about the sites, their history and the inscriptions and monuments you encounter, helping you understand the significance of each place.
