Overview

Over two days you will visit some of Cairo’s most important sites, beginning with the Egyptian Museum located at Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo. You’ll then explore Old Coptic and the Citadel of Saladin, where you will see the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali and take in the historic atmosphere of these landmarks. You’ll also have the opportunity to see the Great Pyramids at Giza, visit the ancient capital of Memphis and view the Pyramid of Sakkara. Along the way you’ll move between Cairo’s museum, religious and historic quarters and the surrounding ancient sites, gaining a rounded sense of the city’s archaeological and cultural highlights.
