Overview

This private tour starts with a visit to the Giza complex, where you will admire the magnificent pyramids and see the Sphinx. As you move through the site, your guide will explain the history of these centuries-old tombs and point out key features of the monuments. You will then drive into the countryside near Cairo to reach the Sakkara Step Pyramid, the extraordinary stepped tomb known as the oldest pyramid in Egypt. After Sakkara, the tour continues to Memphis old city to explore the ruins of Egypt’s ancient capital, where you will see the giant statue of Ramses II and visit the enigmatic Sphinx in the ancient capital. Along the way, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. A private car and guide are included, and you will be picked up from your hotel and returned there at the end of the tour.
