Amazing Full Day tour Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Old Cairo
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
The experience begins at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, open daily and home to what is described as the richest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world. The museum’s rectangular building features a large rotunda on the ground floor with massive exhibits, including the colossal statues of Ramses II. You can get some of the best views of these statues by looking down from the upper galleries. The gold and alabaster trappings from Tutankhamun’s tomb are also on display and attract large crowds. You will then proceed to the medieval Salah El-Din Citadel, where the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque stands within the fortress that once served as a stronghold against the Crusaders. As you move through the citadel, you will see brilliant domed ceilings, suspended lights and enjoy commanding views across Cairo. There will be a stop for lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Your exploration will conclude in Old Cairo, where Coptic Cairo—home to the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church and the Greek Church of St. George, among other Coptic churches and historical sites—will round out the visit.
