Overview
The experience starts at the Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square, where you will see one of the most comprehensive collections of Ancient Egyptian relics in the world. As you move through the galleries, you will learn about artefacts from different periods of ancient civilisation. Lunch is included at an Egyptian restaurant. In the afternoon you will transfer to the Giza Plateau to view the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. You will visit the Papyrus Museum and learn how the ancient Egyptians used papyrus to record their civilisation. Marvel at the pyramids — the last surviving monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — built more than 4,500 years ago as everlasting graves for the pharaohs Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. The Sphinx’s mysterious statue, with a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body, will be another highlight. You will be transferred back to your hotel in Hurghada in the evening.
