Overview
A guide will collect you from your hotel and take you on an Islamic and Coptic day tour around Cairo. You will visit the Citadel of Salah El Din and explore the Mohamed Ali Mosque (the Alabaster Mosque). After that you will proceed into Islamic Cairo and stop at the historic Amr Ibn El‑Ass Mosque, where you can take in the architecture and the area's religious significance. You will then move on to Coptic Cairo to visit several important Christian and Jewish sites. Highlights include the Hanging Church (El Moaalaqa), Abu Sirga Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The tour will continue to the Cave Church of Saint Simon. Along the way you will learn about the city's Islamic and Coptic heritage and see a range of religious buildings from different periods. At the end of the day you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
