Overview

This full-day excursion from Hurghada begins with an early pick‑up from your hotel by car, van or minibus and a comfortable drive to Cairo. Along the way you’ll stop for a short break for breakfast, drinks and toilet facilities before continuing to the city. On arrival you’ll visit the museum for a guided tour of its masterpieces, including the treasure room of the boy king Tutankhamun with his massive golden mask and golden coffin. Lunch is served as a buffet. After lunch you’ll explore the Giza plateau to see the pyramids of Egypt: the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the middle pyramid of Chefren and the third of Mykerinos. You’ll take in the whole plateau from the panorama point, and visit the Valley Temple of King Chefren. The tour also includes a close view of the Great Sphinx of King Chefren, where you can learn about these ancient monuments and their historical context as you move through the site.
