Day tour to Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan from Luxor
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will be met and assisted at your hotel in Luxor and transferred south to Edfu, where you can visit the impressive Temple of Edfu. Dedicated to Horus, this temple is considered one of the best preserved cult temples in Egypt. As you move through the site, you will learn about its place in Egyptian myth — according to those stories, the falcon-headed god Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth. After Edfu, you will continue to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands on high ground overlooking the Nile. The temple is unusual for its double entrance: one side honours Haroeris, the falcon-headed deity, and the other is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god. The complex was built in honour of both Sobek and Haroeris, and Kom Ombo’s importance is also linked to its large sugar-cane. Along the way, you will have the chance to take in the riverside setting and the distinctive architecture that sets these two temples apart.
