Day tour to Giza pyramids & sphinx, saqqara and Memphis

Overview

You will visit some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites on a guided tour that focuses on the Giza plateau and nearby archaeological areas. At Giza you will see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos and have a close-up look at the Sphinx standing beside them. The description highlights these principal monuments so you can appreciate their scale and arrangement on the plateau. You will then continue to Sakkara, about 27 km southwest of Cairo, to see the Step Pyramid built for King Zoser. After Sakkara the tour moves on to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will view the remains that mark its historical importance. Along the way the itinerary brings together the pyramids of Giza, the early monumental architecture at Sakkara and the relics of Memphis, offering a coherent visit to key sites of ancient Egyptian civilisation.
