Day Trip To Fayoum From Cairo with lunch

Overview

A representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and take you to El Fayoum to visit its best-known natural sites. The drive from Cairo is about 95 km. All visits take place in Wadi El Rayan, a protected area designated in 1989. You will visit Wadi Hitan Protected Area (Valley of the Whales) and pass Mudawara Mountain on the way to the lakes and waterfalls of Wadi El Rayan. The area sits in a natural depression about 42 metres below sea level and consists of two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, which were formed in 1970 by an overflow of drainage water from the Fayoum farmlands. Along the way you will see the Wadi El Rayan water features and the Wadi Al Ryan Water Falls, taking in the desert landscape and geological highlights. In Fayoum, a late lunch will be served at a good quality restaurant. After lunch you will be transferred back to Cairo.
