Day Trip to Wadi El Hitan Wadi El Rayyan Al Fayyom Oasis

Une excursion et découverte plantée au milieu du désert géniale. Notre guide Amhed nous emmene sur ce lieu spectaculaire fantastique et immense. Nous ferons la visite des fossiles jusqu au numero 17 et méme plus loin soit 9 kms. Le musée est trés interessant avec des squelettes de plusieurs millions d années et d autres animaux. Nous terminetons cette visite extraordinaire par un safari dans les dunes et la trés belle oasis d el fayoum. Hé non Il n y a pas que les pyramides a visiter il y a les deserts des endroits fabuleux dont l immensité et la beauté nous laisse admiratifs.

The experience was great our guide Ahmed and the driver Ahmed ( best desert driver !!) were very helpfull and kind There has been a misanderstanding between TripAdvisor and the local Operator. They were sure that Lunch wasn't included and that was a problème because we booked thé Day with Lunch it was clearly specified in what is Included TripAdvisor should contact the Operator to clear things up.

ETMT headed by Mr. Walid Fathy is a thoroughly professional tour operator. Our trip was made memorable by our guide Mr. Ahmed Zaki, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He is vastly experienced and has a great deal of knowledge about Egypt and it's history. Existem experiências que tocam fundo nossa alma e fazem parte para sempre da nossa história e essa é uma delas. Estou certo que não será assim para a maioria das pessoas, pois sensações e sentimentos são subjetivos e dependem muito do nosso estado de espírito. Mas para mim, foi inesquecível. Cheguei ao local enxergando um vale cheio de ossadas de baleias e saí de lá enxergando o leito seco de um oceano a quilômetros e quilômetros de qualquer sinal de água. É maravilhoso perceber aos poucos que você andou 1 hora pelo meio do deserto em um carro e vislumbra aos poucos as marcas da água nas rocha

By all means impressive. UNESCO has helped supervise the building of a museum with a video overview of the history of location and it is a must watch. The small museum is also worth visiting besides the whales and reptiles skeletons on the walking tour which is a must see as well. It is a world heritage location preserved under the UNESCO supervision and well worth the visit.

We had an issue with the 4 wheel drive that was to be used for this trip (no seat belts, no air con, 4 uncomfortable side located seats) but the guide was more than happy to take us in his own car and have the vehicle tag along in case we got stuck in the sand. Indeed, our guide was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The places we visited were wonderful, especially the fossil site. It was great to get out of Cairo and see more of the surrounding countryside.
