Dendara & Abydos Private Full Day Tour- Off the Beaten Path
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
This full-day excursion takes you north through countryside villages in the fertile Nile valley to the temples of Dendera and Abydos. In Dendera you’ll explore the Ptolemaic temple of Hathor, including its Roman birth house, roof sanctuaries and a sanatorium. Among the rich decoration you will see the only surviving relief depicting Queen Cleopatra in Egypt, set alongside other carved and painted scenes. You’ll then move on to the ancient city of Abydos to visit the temple of Seti I. Its seven sanctuaries are approached through two broad hypostyle halls and are decorated with outstanding, delicate painted reliefs, including the famous “King’s List”. Nearby you will also see the Osireion and the smaller temple of Ramesses the Great. After as much walking and exploring as you like, you’ll return to Luxor.
