East Bank with Karnak and Luxor Temple Private Half-Day Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will visit the Karnak Temples, a major example of ancient worship dedicated to the god Amun (Amon), his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. As you move through the site, you will see structures that were built from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom through the Graeco‑Roman period, reflecting many centuries of religious activity and architectural change. Next you will explore Luxor Temple, begun by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. You will learn that Ramesses II is remembered as the most famous king of the 19th Dynasty and that he ruled for about 67 years. The temple was dedicated to Amun‑Ra, Mut and Khonsu, the Theban triad, and you will have the chance to see the Obelisk of Ramesses II standing in front of the First Pylon. After the visit you will travel in comfort back to your hotel. If you have time and want to add more to your itinerary, let us know what interests you and we will arrange it for you.
