East & West Luxor Full Day Private Tour

Overview

Your tour begins with hotel pickup in Luxor and a professional Egyptologist guide who will accompany you throughout the day. You will visit the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of New Kingdom pharaohs, and explore richly decorated tombs. As you move through the necropolis, you’ll see examples of royal burial art, including the tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses VI and Amenhotep II. You will continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, an impressive terraced monument built by one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers of the 18th Dynasty. Along the way you’ll stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the surviving statues from Amenhotep III’s mortuary temple, where you can take photos and hear the historical context. Crossing to Luxor’s East Bank, you’ll explore the vast Karnak Temple Complex — the largest religious site in ancient Egypt, dedicated to Amun, Mut and Khonsu. The day finishes with some free time for shopping in Luxor before returning to your hotel.
