Fatimid Islamic Cairo Day Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
This tour through Fatimid Cairo gives you the chance to explore the renowned Museum of Islamic Art. The museum is the largest Islamic museum in the world and houses a wide range of Islamic art from India, China and Iran, as well as works from the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant, Egypt, North Africa and Andalusia. As you move through the galleries, you'll encounter this broad geographic sweep of Islamic artistic traditions. Along the way you'll visit Al-Azhar Mosque, the most important mosque in Egypt and a long-standing centre for spreading and teaching Islam. You will also travel down Al-Moez Al-Fatimi Street, a thoroughfare that contains 221 Islamic monuments and represents the heart of the old city of Cairo, developed as an open museum of Islamic architecture and antiquities. The experience ends at Al-Ghoury Agency — the Qansuh Al-Ghouri Agency — an agency or hotel established during the reign of Qansuh Al-Ghouri in 909 AH (1504 AD), located on Muhammad Abdo Street off Al-Azhar Street.
