A Tamer Safari Tours representative will collect you from your hotel in Cairo and drive you to El Fayoum to visit some of its best-known sites. The journey from Cairo to Fayoum covers about 95 km, taking you into the heart of the oases region. Your visits will focus on Wadi El Rayan, an area designated as a Protected Area in 1989. Fayoum Oasis is a noted bird-watching destination and is also well known for its fruits and vegetables. Migratory birds are attracted to the lush vegetation and the waters of Lake Qarun, the largest salt-water lake in Egypt, so you may see a variety of species such as grebes and coots. A late lunch will be served at a good-quality restaurant before you are transferred back to Cairo.
