Overview
Your evening begins with pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and a transfer to downtown Cairo with a tour guide. You will take a traditional horse-drawn carriage through the city while your guide points out sights along the route. Along the way you will pass Zamalek, one of Cairo’s wealthiest diplomatic neighbourhoods, and follow the Nile Corniche as you enjoy the ride and the city views. After the carriage, you will have a guided walking tour of downtown where modern malls and clothing shops are clustered. You will pass El Tahrir Square, the most famous square in Egypt, which gained prominence during the 25 January Revolution. During the walk you will stop for an ice cream and continue with your guide. The experience ends with an external visit to the Cairo Tower; your guide will be on hand to help you take good, professional-style photos of this modern landmark (the tower is viewed from outside only).
