As you descend into the Western Mountain at the Valley of the Kings, you will explore the rock-cut tombs that give the site its global fame and experience the atmosphere of this burial landscape. You will also visit the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, noted for its three-tiered terraces; in its innermost area you will see the sanctuary, often described as the holy of holies.
