Full-Day Private Guided Tour in the West Bank of Luxor
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
A knowledgeable and helpful guide with more than nine years’ experience in Egyptian tourism will accompany you to some of Egypt’s most important ancient sites. As you descend into the Western Mountain at the Valley of the Kings, you will explore the rock-cut tombs that give the site its global fame and experience the atmosphere of this burial landscape. Along the way your guide will point out key features and explain the significance of the tombs you enter. You will also visit the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, noted for its three-tiered terraces; in its innermost area you will see the sanctuary, often described as the holy of holies. Relief scenes at the temple depict the famous naval expedition sent by Queen Hatshepsut to the land of Somalia. At Medinet Habu (Habu temple) you will enter the temple complex built by Ramesses III and encounter the sculpted reliefs and architectural elements that reflect royal and ritual themes from ancient Egypt. Throughout the experience your guide will provide context and interpretation to help you understand the sites and their place in pharaonic history.
