Full Day Trip to Alexandria From Cairo

Overview

You will spend a full day exploring Alexandria’s most famous sights with a tour guide who will pick you up from your Cairo hotel and stay with you throughout the day. After travelling to Alexandria, you will start at the Kom Elshokafa Catacombs, a Roman tomb complex dating to the second century, and see Pompey's Pillar, the remains known as the Ruins of the Serabium. Along the way you will also visit Kom Eddekka to view the Roman amphitheatre. Lunch will be included, with seafood or Egyptian specialities available and a vegetarian option on offer. After eating, the tour continues to Quitbay Fortress, built on the site of the ancient lighthouse, and then to the modern Alexandria Library. You will see each landmark with your guide and have time to explore before returning to Cairo.
