Giza Pyramids & Sphinx Day Tour

Overview

A Visitors Egypt tour guide will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the Giza Plateau to visit the three pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. These ancient monuments are guarded by the rock-cut statue known as the Sphinx, a human-headed lion. At the heart of the site stands the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world still standing today; it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list. As you move around the plateau you will also see the valley temple of King Chephren, linked to his pyramid by the traditional causeway, and other nearby buildings that belonged to royal relatives and high officials. An optional camel or horse ride around the monuments may be available if you wish to experience the site from a different viewpoint. After the visit you will be transferred back to your residence by an air-conditioned vehicle.
