Grand Egyptian Museum and old cairo

Overview

You will meet your professional Egyptologist guide at your hotel in Cairo or Giza and transfer by private, air-conditioned vehicle to the Grand Egyptian Museum. At the museum you will move through the Grand Hall and see the Hanging Obelisk and the colossal statue of Ramses II. Along the way your guide will point out royal statues, other ancient treasures and selected artefacts from the Tutankhamun collection, explaining the history of Ancient Egypt and the significance of the masterpieces on display. Later you will explore Coptic Cairo, the spiritual heart of Old Cairo, where the itinerary includes the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. As you move through these sites your guide will share the history of Christianity and Judaism in Egypt. After the visit you will be transferred back to your hotel.
