Overview

On this experience you'll visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and the Pyramids of Giza. Early in the morning you will be picked up in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to begin the day. At the GEM you will see the treasures of Tutankhamen and the gigantic statue of Ramses II on the museum’s sacred lake. As you move through the galleries you will encounter the grand staircase, which displays hundreds of statues and other objects arranged chronologically, and you will also see the reconstructed solar boat of King Khufu. After the museum visit, you will explore the Pyramids of Giza, one of the ancient Seven Wonders. Along with the group of nine pyramids at Giza, you will view the Great Sphinx — a figure with a lion’s body and a human head — which, according to ancient Egyptian belief, stands as a guardian of the pyramids. The experience combines major Pharaonic highlights so you can see key archaeological treasures and iconic monuments in a single outing.
