Overview
Your three‑star travel guide and manager will meet you at your hotel or the airport, holding a sign with your name. They will be waiting for you and will find you, then give you their full attention from the start. Once in the car, they will talk about the sights along the way and other aspects of the tour that may interest you. You will begin at the Valley of the Kings and explore its remarkable funerary architecture, visiting three tombs (the tomb of King Tutankhamun is excluded). After that, you will see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built by Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490 to 1469 BC) and is known as the only pharaonic woman to reign in ancient Egypt. The tour will also include a stop at the Colossi of Memnon as you move between sites. Throughout, your guide will provide context and commentary to help you understand the history and significance of each landmark.
