Overview
You will meet your expert tour guide in your hotel lobby, where they will be holding a sign with your name. Together you will travel to Dahab Island, a site that is also known as the Prince Naguib Hassan Palace. The building was constructed in the 1990s but is designed in a Mamluk style, so it gives the impression of an older, historic palace as you move through its exterior architecture and overall atmosphere. Along the way you will hear the owner’s own account that he is a Mamluk prince and the last descendant of the Mamluks in Egypt, and that he built the palace in appreciation of his ancestors’ style and history. This narrative and the palace’s Mamluk-inspired design will be central to your visit. At the end of the experience you will be transferred back to your hotel.
