Overview

You will escape the bustle of Cairo and take a jeep safari into the Sahara desert, accompanied by a professional tour guide. Along the way you will visit the Valley of the Whales, where you can see fossils and bones embedded in the heart of the rock that date to more than 40 million years ago. You will also visit the Magic Lake and its surrounding views, and climb Medwara Mountain for a clear vantage point of the lake against the desert landscape. As you move through the area you will travel to Wadi Rayan to see Egypt’s unique waterfall set in the middle of the Sahara. Lunch will be served close to Tunis Village, where you may observe local potters at work. The experience will give you glimpses of traditional Bedouin life and the natural character of this remote region.
