Karnak Temple Sound and Light Show in Luxor

Overview

An evening at the Karnak Temple will bring the story of the Great Pharaohs of the 18th and 19th Dynasties to life. Dramatic sound and light effects will narrate the epic tale from the Thutmose family tree through the reign of the heretic Pharaoh Akhenaton and his famous son Tutankhamen, and on to the rise of the Military House of Ramses. As you move through the mystifying temple complex to the sacred lake, ancient scenes and monuments will be illuminated and their histories explained. The performance is typically staged three times per night in three different languages. Translation head‑sets are available, and the language scheduled for a performance may change without advance notice (for example, a show scheduled in English could be switched to Spanish if another group books).
