In Luxor, the ancient capital of the Pharaohs, you will visit some of the West Bank’s most evocative sites. You will see the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of Ramses II, then move on to the tombs of the Nobles, where private burials and painted chambers speak of different social lives in ancient Egypt. You will also visit Deir el-Medina, the Valley of the Artisans, the village where the craftsmen who worked on the royal tombs lived. Your visits will be guided by an Egyptology specialist so you can learn about the lives, beliefs and work of the people who built and decorated these places. Travel between sites will be comfortable: an air-conditioned vehicle will collect and return you to your Luxor hotel or cruise ship for door-to-door transfers.
