Celebrate New Year’s in Egypt on an eight-day trip that takes you through Cairo’s layers of history. In the city you will explore Old, Coptic and Islamic Cairo and visit the Great Pyramids and The Egyptian Museum. As you move through these sites, you'll encounter ancient monuments and historic neighbourhoods that reflect Egypt’s long and varied past. You will then continue to the great temples and tombs of Upper Egypt, visiting Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, and exploring the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Along the way you will also see the Horus Temple, the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae, giving you a broad view of Egypt’s pharaonic and later engineering achievements. Throughout the trip you will have the opportunity to take in both monumental architecture and intimate archaeological sites, with time to appreciate the significance of each location.
