Overview

From Cairo, you will be driven to Bahariya Oasis and into the surrounding region to see the White Desert, the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain. Along the way you will explore unspoiled desert landscapes and unusual rock formations, learning about the contrasts between the pale chalk formations of the White Desert and the darker volcanic hills of the Black Desert. One night of camping in the White Desert is included. As evening falls and the sky shifts from pink to fiery orange, the rock shapes will fade and silence will settle over the dunes. Bedouin staff will arrange dinner and desert camping. You will sit around a small fire and enjoy a simple meal of chicken, rice and vegetables; vegetarian food is available.
