Overview
At the Karnak Temples in Luxor, you will attend a Sound and Light production that brings the site’s long history to life. The temple complex was dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. You will learn about life thousands of years ago as the narration and lights trace the development of the site, which was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom through to the Greco-Roman Kingdom. You will be transferred to the Karnak Temples to see the spectacle. The production moves you around the temple grounds and, as you move through, explains the role of Luxor as the capital of the ancient world. The final act will be presented while you are seated along the Great Sacred Lake, bringing the story to a close in that atmospheric setting.
