Overview
Your tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Cairo and a visit to the Egyptian Museum. There you will see a collection spanning some 5,000 years of Pharaonic art, with more than 250,000 genuine artefacts on display. The museum includes an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen’s treasure, gold and jewellery, which remained in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its excavation in the 1920s. You will then have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will move on to Old Cairo to explore its historic religious sites. As you move through the area, you will visit the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, each offering a different insight into Cairo’s layered past.
