Overview

You will spend a day exploring the Valley of the Kings and the story of King Tutankhamun. In the Valley you will visit four royal tombs, including those of Ramses V, Ramses III and Merenptah, and you will have the chance to see the tomb of King Tutankhamun and be face to face with his royal mummy. Your private, qualified Egyptologist guide will bring the sites to life and explain the history and mystery around this young pharaoh. As you move through the West Bank you will also stop at the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari) and see the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, the day continues on the East Bank at the Karnak Temples, where your guide will explain the significance of this vast temple complex. Along the way you will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the tour includes lunch plus hotel pick up and drop off.
