Private Luxor Full-Day Tour: Discover the East and West Banks
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
This experience brings you to some of the largest temples in the world, noted for their impressive colonnades. At Karnak Temple you'll explore vast halls dominated by 134 towering columns, and you can see the sacred scarab among the site’s ancient reliefs. As you move through these monumental spaces, you’ll get a sense of the scale and craftsmanship that defined temple building in ancient Egypt. To the west of Luxor lies the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs prepared for the afterlife. Inside the royal tombs you’ll find richly coloured reliefs and decorations that have been preserved to this day. Along the way you’ll also visit the terrace temple of Hatshepsut, the funerary monument of Queen Hatshepsut. This striking temple belonged to the woman who was regarded as the daughter of the god Amon and who reigned for 18 years, a rare example of a female ruler in ancient Egypt. The sites together will give you a vivid impression of the beliefs, art and rulers from the time of the pharaohs and queens.
