Overview

On this full-day guided private tour of Cairo and the Giza Pyramids, you will travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle and receive personalised attention from your own Egyptologist guide. Your first stop will be the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum. The museum is considered to be the largest in the world and houses more than 100,000 pieces, not all of which are on display across the ground and upper floors. Here you will see the Golden Mask of Tutankhamun, one of the museum’s most famous exhibits. Lunch is provided as an open buffet; soft drinks are not included. After lunch you will move on to the 5,000-year-old Giza necropolis, the home of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. You will view the three main pyramids, which date to the Fourth Dynasty, and spend time at the site of the Great Sphinx. Along the way your Egyptologist guide will provide context and explanations about the monuments and their history so you can better understand these ancient landmarks.
