A representative from Visitors Egypt Tour will pick you up from your hotel for an excursion to the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus on the Giza plateau. As you move through the site you’ll see the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren, and visit the Valley Temple that belongs to the pyramid of Chephren. Along the way you’ll learn about the sites’ historical context and then stop for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection spanning 5,000 years and is considered to house one of the largest and most important collections of Egyptian art in the world. More than 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen’s treasures — the gold and jewellery that were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years until their discovery in the 1920s. You will be taken back to your hotel after the trip.
