Overview

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and take you first to the Egyptian Museum. You’ll explore its vast collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts and have time to take in highlights of the exhibits. As you move through the galleries, your guide will help put the objects into historical context so the displays make sense. You’ll continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, an atmospheric church with a long history in the Christian quarter. Then you’ll head to Islamic Cairo to see the Citadel of Saladin and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque within its walls. Along the way you’ll enjoy views of the city from the citadel and learn about the different layers of Cairo’s religious and architectural heritage. The tour ends with a return to your hotel.
