Private tour to Al-Azhar Park with traditional lunch
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will begin at Al‑Azhar Park, a major public park in Cairo that has been recognised by the Project for Public Spaces as one of the world’s sixty great public spaces. The park was created by the Historic Cities Support Programme (HCSP) of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC), part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Developed at a cost in excess of USD $30 million, it was given to the city by Aga Khan IV, a descendant of the Fatimid Imam‑Caliphs who founded Cairo in the year 969. After exploring the park and its setting, you will continue on a full-day tour that showcases old Egyptian artefacts tracing Egypt’s history from its beginnings. Along the way you will learn about key periods of ancient Egyptian civilisation and see objects that reflect their cultural and historical development. The day will include a stop for Egyptian cuisine at a nearby restaurant, where you will enjoy local dishes before the tour finishes back at your hotel.
