Overview
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Egyptian Museum, which houses artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection spanning some 5,000 years of art and is considered one of the most important collections of Egyptian art. Over 250,000 artefacts are presented, including gold and jewellery that were enclosed in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s. After the museum, you will visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, located inside the Citadel of Salah El Din. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Later you will continue to the area of Old Cairo, where you will see the Hanging Church, the oldest church in Egypt dating back to the 4th century. You will also visit Abu Serga (the Cavern Church), where the holy family is said to have stayed for three months, and finish the tour with a visit to the Synagogue. The tour ends with a return to your hotel.
