Private Tour To Islamic Cairo and Khan El-Khalili Tourist Bazaar
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will begin in the heart of historic Cairo, passing through the lively copper, silver and gold shops as you approach the Qalaoon complex from the Mamluki period. Along the way you will learn about key ideas of Islamic architecture and see details such as soaring minarets, domes, wooden fortified gates and sabils finished in marble and limestone. The ancient Souhaimi house is included as a stop; it served as official accommodation for Al-Azhar University students and once had rooms enough to accommodate around 200 people. From Al-Moez Ledin Ellah Street you will walk through the Khan El-Khalili area toward Bab El-Futuh, one of Cairo’s old city gates. You’ll have good opportunities for photos of the Qalaoon complex, the palace of Bishtack and the Souhaimi house, so remember to prepare your camera. Your guide will lead you to Al-Fishawi Café (also written Al-Fishaway) in the heart of Khan El-Khalili, where you will have some free time for shopping and a final rest with a cup of tea at Cairo’s oldest café.
