Overview

You’ll begin on the Giza Plateau, where you’ll see the Great Pyramid of Cheops alongside the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. From a nearby panoramic area you can take photos, then move on to the Valley Temple and the Great Sphinx. Along the way you’ll experience a 30-minute camel ride around the pyramids for a different perspective on the site. Afterwards you’ll eat lunch in a good-quality restaurant with a set menu that includes grilled chicken, kebab and kofta. The afternoon is spent at the Egyptian Museum, where you’ll explore the animal mummy room, view the mummy portraits and see King Tutankhamun’s jewellery. The Royal Mummy Rooms are also available to visit, though they require an extra fee. The day finishes with a visit to the Bazaar of Khan el Khalili, where you can soak up the oriental atmosphere and try your hand at bargaining.
