Pyramids of Giza and National Museum Private Day Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
This experience offers a quick glimpse of Egypt’s ancient past, starting at the National Museum of Cairo where an experienced Egyptologist guide will personally lead you through the exhibits. As you move through the museum, the guide will provide context and background to help you understand the artefacts and their place in Egypt’s history. You will then visit the Giza pyramids plateau, beginning with the oldest and the only one to remain largely intact of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: Khufu’s (Cheops) pyramid. Along the way you will see Khafre’s pyramid, built by Khufu’s son and the second-largest on the site, and Mecernes pyramid, the smallest of the three. The tour includes a stop at the Sphinx, the huge sculpture of a pharaoh’s head on a lion’s body. Finally, you will explore Khan El‑Khalili, a major tourist Mamlouk‑style market. Lunch will be provided during this tour.
