Overview
On this shopping tour you’ll visit officially certified, government-controlled sites in Egypt. As you move through each stop, you’ll get a close look at traditional crafts and local products, with plenty of chances to ask questions and learn about the items on display. You’ll visit a papyrus gallery to see authentic papyrus and learn about its manufacture. At the cartouche factory you’ll find out about the meanings of different names according to Egyptian belief. Along the way you’ll stop at cotton shops where you’ll see garments and textiles made from Egyptian cotton. You’ll also enter an oil factory and enjoy the fragrances of various incenses.
