Overview

You will be collected from your hotel in private, air‑conditioned transport with Wi‑Fi on board and taken to the Egyptian Museum. An Egyptologist will act as your guide and driver for this personalised visit, so you will have an expert on hand as you explore the museum's displays and learn about the civilisation of the pharaohs. As you move through the museum, arranged by chronological departments, your guide will lead you through highlights that illustrate some 6,000 years of Egyptian history. The visit includes seeing over 16,000 items from the museum’s displays, while the institution as a whole houses a vast collection of about 120,000 Egyptian antiquities — known as one of the world’s largest. Along the way you will study artefacts from tombs, temples and pyramids and hear the context behind key pieces from ancient Egypt. After the tour you will be escorted back to your hotel.
