The Grand Egyptian Museum Tour
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You’ll join a limited preview tour of the GEM Complex, offered to test site readiness and the visitor experience before the official opening. Access is currently limited to the Grand Hall, the Grand Staircase, the commercial area and the exterior gardens. All other interior spaces, including the galleries and collections, remain restricted until the museum opens. The Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, is under construction in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometres from the Giza pyramid complex. During the visit you’ll learn about the museum’s planned scope: it is set to house over 100,000 artefacts, including the complete Tutankhamun collection, with many pieces to be displayed for the first time. With 81,000 m2 (872,000 sq ft) of floor space it will be the world’s largest archaeological museum, and it is being built as part of the Giza 2030 master plan. This preview gives you a chance to experience the building’s main public spaces and exterior setting while the rest of the complex is prepared for its full opening.
