Tour in Aswan: Felucca and Nubian village

Overview

Your experience starts with pickup from your centrally located hotel or cruise ship, with the exact time confirmed by the local supplier after booking. You’ll be transferred to a jetty on the Nile and board a boat to Sohail Island. Depending on river conditions and the weather, you may travel in a traditional felucca sail boat or in a modern motorboat. Along the way, you’ll take in views of the Nile’s riverbanks and pass Elephantine Island. On Sohail Island you’ll disembark and visit a traditional Nubian house, where a glass of welcome tea will accompany an introduction to Nubian history and culture. After your time at the house, you’ll have the chance to walk around the island independently, explore the brightly painted villages and chat with locals. At the end of the afternoon you’ll meet back at the boat jetty for the return trip to Aswan, where the tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or cruise ship.
