Overview
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a full-day excursion through some of Cairo’s most iconic sites. You will visit the Citadel of Salah El Din and see the Mohamed Ali Mosque, often called the Alabaster Mosque. The tour then continues to the Giza plateau to view the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, and the nearby Great Sphinx — the lion‑bodied monument with a pharaoh’s head that dates from the time of Chephren. You will also visit the Valley Temple that belongs to Chephren’s pyramid. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. After lunch you will enjoy a sail on an Egyptian felucca, then move on to Old Cairo to see historic religious sites such as the Hanging Church, Abu Serga Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. If there is enough time, you may have an opportunity to stroll through Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the Middle East. At the end of the day you will be transferred back to your hotel.
