Overview
You will visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (the New Egyptian Museum) with special permission to enter areas not usually open to the public. A private tour will take you through the conservation laboratories and the Great Hall, and you will see many of the artefacts that have been moved from the old Egyptian Museum, including the King Tutankhamun Gallery and the King Khufu Solar Boat Museum, plus other treasures. Lunch is included. After the museum, you will go to the Pyramids of Giza to view Cheops and Mykrinos and the Great Sphinx. Along the way and on site, there will be opportunities for photography and to explore the surrounding monuments, including the Valley Temple of King Khafre.
