Overview

This experience shows you Egypt’s most famous sites as you travel along the Nile River. You will spend time at the Pyramids of Giza and stand before the Great Sphinx. Visits in and around Cairo include the ancient capital of Memphis, where you will see the nearly 40-foot statue of Ramses II, and Sakkara with its pyramids and tombs. In the city you will also see the treasures of King Tutankhamen in the Egyptian Museum and wander the bustling Bazaar of Cairo. A leisurely cruise along the Nile will form part of the journey, allowing a relaxed pace between the river’s major sites. In Luxor you will explore the impressive Temples of Karnak and, on the West Bank of the Nile, encounter the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. The trip also includes visits to Aswan and the temple of Abu Simbel, and more highlights along the way that reveal Egypt’s ancient history and cultural life.
