This journey into Egypt’s Western Desert, to the Black Desert and the White Desert southwest of Cairo, will put you among striking natural formations while emphasising sustainable travel. In the Black Desert you will see dark, volcanic hills; in the White Desert you will encounter the chalk-white rock formations that give the area its name. The route is designed for low-impact exploration, with small-group touring to reduce strain on the fragile desert ecosystem. Along the way you will have opportunities for respectful cultural immersion with local Bedouin communities, supporting livelihoods through authentic interactions.
